Because of its pure mineral waters, the town of Blue Ridge is once considered an elite health resort. For tourists who like to ride the train, this is the perfect place for the. They can still eat dinner at the Blue Ridge Hotel, and take a walk to the mineral water after dinner. If a simple walk bores you, you can visit the antique and specialty shops, galleries, restaurants, and small town atmosphere. Founded in 1886, the Blue Ridge is a result of the arrival of the Marietta and North Georgia Railroad. Thanks to this railroad because Blue Ridge became the center of business. The county seat was moved from Morganton to this place. In early years, you can see now the five hotels standing to give you the luxurious experience that you deserve. The central focus of the downtown is the railroad depot. Meeting the train is one of the favorite activities on this place. If you visiting park, it encompasses two blocks and is a famous location to go for picnics, community gatherings and festivals. If you're in touch with history, you can even visit the Fannin County Courthouse that was designed in 1937 after the previous courthouse burned in 1936. This is now the home of the Blue Ridge Mountains Art Association.
