Well both labels are use up until now since the city of Ellijay is situated near the protected forestland of the state and near the river banks of Cartecay and the Ellijay Rivers. These water systems then converge out of the city to form the much bigger Coosawatee River. These river systems are just another thing that makes the small city of Ellijay and the Ellijay Real Estate truly distinctive.
