If one is looking to spend his or her time after retirement close to nature, Blue Ridge in Georgia is one destination that easily comes to mind. One of these is the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest. This sprawling piece of unspoiled greens covers about 860,000 acres. In this national forest, visitors have access to 530 miles of trails which can be explored through hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. One can also use ATVs to navigate through these roads.
Near the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest is the Nantahala National Forest, a pristine forest worth a visit. Like the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, this national park covers a massive area and has areas set for camping. One can also hike through the trails of this majestic work of art of Mother Nature. The beauty of this national park is even enough to make someone look for Blue Ridge Ga homes for sale.
The Cherokee National Forest nearby is also home to some of the most unspoiled beauty of nature. It covers an area of about 652,000 acres. Just like the other two, visitors of the Cherokee National Forest can enjoy a variety of activities including but not limited to camping, hunting, fishing, and boating on Parksville Lake.
These three national parks epitomize the beauty which Blue Ridge is known for not only in the United States but all over the world. If an eco-friendly family is planning a vacation somewhere in this beautiful country, surely, Blue Ridge in Georgia would have to be on top of their list.
