The Blue Ridge Arts

Posted by Raziel under: Blue Ridge Arts & Entertainment .

Though Blue Ridge is known for its railroad, outdoor recreation, unique shops, the people would be more applauded because of the skills and talents bestowed to the artists settling in the mountainous cocoon.

The misty mountains adjoining the Southern Appalachian Region seem to be the wall that gives refuge to artists. You can find these talented people in some small towns sitting at the gateway of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the foothills of the Smoky Mountain Range.

The Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association (the Art Center), a non-profit organization, has been in existence since 25 years ago. It has been the center for the arts in this region, discovering mountain arts and crafts.

Blue ridge arts and entertainment are manifested in many forms of self-expression through mosaic tiles, try oils, tie dye, sculpture, woodcarving, gourds, the art of fairy house building, collage, plain air painting, stained glass, watercolors, drawing, ballet, photography, writing, poetry.

There are classes all over the towns, which are taught by local and visiting artists and writers. The children and adults walk in to the Art Centers that offer year-round classes and events that are unparalleled in the region. Indeed, anyone who would want to live in Blue Ridge will surely enjoy the experiences that cost so much of a lifetime.
